The John Paul II award will soon be launched in the Galway Diocese. This fantastic Award was created to commemorate the late Pope John Paul II who was so committed to young people and who had such belief and confidence in them.Through the Pope John Paul II Award, young people in the diocese of Galway will be enabled to take an active part in the life of their Church, in the life of their community and society, and also become more aware of the teaching and role of the Catholic Church in the world.

This progamme is designed to offer resources to members of the parish team that will enable them to encourage, challenge and invite parents to beccome more actively involved in the preparation for Confirmation.

The series of parenting programmes which are run by the Diocesan Pastoral Centre consist of a six or eight week programme for parents of children of all ages.

The course enables parents to improve listening and communication skills, change family power structures and develop more honest and respectful relationships in their families.

Our series of Gospel Reflections are now finished for the summer holidays.
